Eastern Landmarks is an editorial encyclopedia of the public sculpture, architecture, and civic monuments that shape Saudi Arabia's eastern coast — from the Khobar corniche to the gates of Hofuf.

Cities change. Roundabouts are widened, monuments relocated, plazas rebranded. The public art that defines a place is rarely treated as a coherent body of work — and almost never recorded with the depth it deserves.
Eastern Landmarks is an attempt to fix this for one province. Each entry pairs editorial writing with archival photography, locational data, and links to the artists, architects, and clients behind the work — building, over time, a research-grade record of how the Eastern Province has chosen to mark itself.
Four commitments.
Editorial, not promotional.
Every entry is written and edited in-house. We don't accept paid placement, sponsored coverage, or trade copy from project owners.
Bilingual, by default.
Every landmark is recorded in both English and Arabic. Cities, designers, and editorial copy are reviewed by native speakers in each language.
Archival photography.
Where possible we commission new photography for each entry. Older works are documented from the project archive of the original studio or municipality.
Open citation.
Sources are credited inline. Where field data conflicts with public records, we publish both — and note the discrepancy.
